Who We Are
SureTech International was established in 2002 by Mr. R. K. Chanana, a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in professional practice, completely devoted to advising his clients on setting up new industrial projects in India. His professional career focused on bringing to India globally emerging technologies intrinsic to the country's future needs for growth.
Alongside advice on globally available competitive technologies across a very wide spectrum of industrial sectors — and the evaluation criteria for selecting the technologies and machineries best suited to Indian conditions — he was, as a finance professional at core, deeply involved in the financial planning, layout and syndication of finances for his clients' projects. His evolvement of a large number of unique financing patterns for project financing won him accolades from co-professionals and industry leaders alike.
“Liberalization with localization” would be the mantra that would pole vault India into achieving the status of a developed nation.
By the turn of the century, that conviction — coupled with India's strategic need to globally source, import and localize critical technologies, and the parallel need of western technology owners to reach new markets — made the timing right to float a new international technology sourcing firm.

What We Offer

We represent international firms planning to export their technologies and products to India — ideally those able to offer localisation, productionisation, timely obsolescence management and full life-cycle support. For such clients we arrange technology licensing and manufacturing tie-ups with the best suited Indian partners, from both the private and public sectors.
For technologies offering dual civil and military use, we introduce the technology and market the products to government technology and product development labs such as DRDO, R&D centres and institutional customers. These engagements give clients valuable, fast-moving indicators to guide their commitment in India — at a very economical cost.
The Defence Procurement Procedure laid down by the Indian MoD is a complex document requiring in-depth knowledge of its ramifications. For “Buy Global” category products where offsets would normally apply, forethought and planning can in certain cases avoid their applicability altogether. We advise on applicability, banking and discharge of offset obligations.
Correct and timely advice here yields rich dividends: sourcing companies with aptly suited products and services to meet export obligations, identifying Indian companies offering high-yield JV investment opportunities, co-development of new products, and planning time-bound fulfilment programmes within the main contract period.
Companies covered by offset obligations need regular interaction with the Defence Offsets Facilitation Agency (DOFA), which vets offset proposals technically, monitors offset provisions and advises on preferred offset areas. We handle this liaison along with follow-up areas such as reporting on offset fulfilment.
Indian company law, taxation and a large number of other statutes apply in varying degrees to foreign entities entering business ventures in India. Drawing on a long professional career as a Chartered Accountant advising on accounting matters and business laws, we render valuable and timely advice on these matters to our international clients.
